RESOURCE LIBRARY
INFORMATION
The CCK Resource Library, located at 1509 Hancock
Street, 4th Floor Training Department, Quincy,
offers an exciting variety of resources for
childcare professionals. The Resource Library is
open during regular business hours, 9:00-4:30 PM. It
is wise to call rather than drop in to insure that
some one will be available to assist you. You may
also call 617-471-7473, ext. 122 to make an
appointment to preview or pick up materials.
Included on our shelves are: |
- Books to enhance teachers’ and parents’ knowledge &
skills (i.e. curriculum ideas, management and child
development.)
- Books about children from Infant to After School Age
to learn from and/or to enjoy.
- Video tapes for adults and children (both
entertaining and informal).
- Children’s songs and stories cassette tapes, plus
“How to Build Your Child’s Self-Esteem”, a set of
audiotapes.
- Manipulatives to encourage fine motor and perceptual
skills for ages toddler through preschool (8 in 1
Activity Center, Bolt Board, Puzzles, Begripen Diagram,
etc.)
- Curriculum Enrichment items such as “Heart Treasure
Chest”, “Talk Listen Care Kit”, and “The Smoke
Detectives”.
- Large Curriculum Kits filled with information,
games, books, puzzles, and activities. (Africa/Jungle,
Animals, Colonial Times, Dinosaurs, Farm and Farm
Animals, Forests and Forest Animals, Health and Safety,
Literacy through Computers, Multicultural, Ocean Life,
and Science.)
- Our extra-large Laminating Machine is now available
for provider use.
